Post this job freeHow to read your estimate
Low–high is the published market range for that job in that city, compiled from the named sources under your result. Typical is the midpoint of the range — or the published average where a source prints one. Your home’s size moves you inside the range; equipment tier, ductwork, electrical capacity and access move the real quote.
An estimate is not a quote. A pro prices your actual home after seeing it — that is the number you sign against.
Where do these prices come from?
Published installer and reference sources for each city, compiled in NEO31’s cost guides — the Toronto guide from 14 published GTA sources accessed October 2026, the New York City guide from published NYC sources checked 1 November 2026. They are planning ranges, not NEO31 quotes. Coverage grows city by city; where we have no sourced range, the tool says so instead of guessing.
